For students and teachers

  • Getting in: join at flashcardpro.app/join: pick your school, type your name, school email and a password (4 or more characters), and you are in. There is no email to verify. Your school admin can also add you, sometimes with a password already set (often your student ID), so you can sign in right away. After 5 wrong passwords an account is locked for 10 minutes.
  • Studying: pick a deck and answer the cards. Cards you get right move up through five boxes; cards you miss go back to Box 1 so you see them again soon.
  • Adding decks: tap Add a deck from the library on the study screen and choose Public Decks or School Decks (decks your teachers shared). Search, or filter by subject, sub-category and grade. Decks you add update by themselves when new cards are added. You can also make your own deck or import a spreadsheet (CSV with question and answer columns) under My Cards.
  • Teachers: open the 👤 menu → Share decks with my school to upload a deck that only your school can see.
  • Something wrong, or an idea? The 👤 menu has Suggest a feature and Report a problem.
  • Forgot your password, or locked out? Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. After 5 wrong passwords an account is locked for 10 minutes.

Studying on your own

  • If your school isn't on FlashcardPro, sign up on your own: free for 12 months, then $5 a year.
  • If your school joins later, you move into the school automatically (when your email is at the school's domain) and it's free for you.

For school admins

  • Register your school on the home page. Your first 12 months are free, then $99 a year for the whole school.
  • Manage (top of the page) lets you add students, teachers and other admins, turn accounts on or off, set your school email domain, and see billing. A school can have as many admins as it needs.
  • Add many people at once: Manage → People → Add many students at once. Download the template (Name, Email, Password), fill it in and upload it, or paste a list. The password column is optional: use a student ID such as the PowerSchool ID so students can sign in right away. A password needs 4 or more characters. Uploading again is safe: people already in the school are skipped and keep their passwords unless you tick Replace.
  • Roles: Students study. Teachers study and can share decks with the school (they manage only their own decks). Admins manage people, billing and every deck.
  • School decks: admins and teachers upload decks (CSV) on the School decks page. Only your school sees them, under School Decks in the library. When you change a deck, everyone who added it gets the update automatically.
  • School email domain: people with an email at that domain can join on their own at flashcardpro.app/join. Students who already signed up on their own at that domain move into your school.
  • Student privacy: read our Privacy & Security Policy. Students are only ever shown decks from the public library and from their own school.
  • Signing in through SchoolPro: school admins can also open FlashcardPro from schoolpro.app.

AI tools (paid add-on)

  • Make flashcards from photos and PDFs of notes, sort cards into topics, and write multiple-choice answers.
  • They are an optional add-on with no free trial: $249 a year for a school, $20 a year for a student on their own. Add them from the Manage page (admins) or your billing page.
  • How much you can read: notes are counted in pages (one photo, or one page of a PDF). A school gets about 3,000 pages a month, shared by everyone; a student on their own gets about 250 pages a month. One upload can be up to 40 pages. School admins see the pages used this month on the Manage page.
  • Run later: tick "Run later" on the notes upload to send a big upload as a batch. The cards are ready within about a day, you'll see them on the Study page when they are done, and the job counts half toward your limits.
  • Limits are described in our Fair Use Policy (up to 10 uploads a day). AI can make mistakes, so check the cards it makes.

Prices and billing

  • School: $99 a year, first 12 months free. Every student and teacher is included.
  • Student on their own: $5 a year, first 12 months free.
  • You can pay by card or PayPal. Schools can also get a quote, an invoice or a purchase order. Nothing renews by itself: we email you before it ends.
